Riserva della Cascina's Story

“Riserva della Cascina” farm takes name from the ancient cadastrial maps of the ground that strikes Appia Antica and extends within the homonymous Park for 18 hectares, 15 of which used as vineyard grown through the row-rearing, in a charming landscape among the classical Roman ruins and the Castelli Romani, on a volcanic ground bound to wine-growing.
Farmers from immemorial time, since 1946 we have been exclusively directing our steps towards the single-crop system with the constant aim of improving quality, reimplanting autochthonous grapes and using modern techniques during the vinification.

The natural tendency to respect the environment and its culture, induces us to the safeguard of human and environmental health. One of our merits is to have never used herbicides and since 1994 we have been practicing organic agriculture with check and certification of “Suolo e Salute”.
In 1998 we started bottling our wines, result of selected grapes and modern techniques which exalt their qualities. In our life we made a choice: we chose a wholesome and natural nourishment, fully respecting traditions.
